Lawrelynd Bowin’s Bio
I was born in Monrovia, Liberia, in West Africa. I moved to Moscow in my teen years and went to Patrice Lumumba: Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, also known as RUDN, where I took Political Science.
In 1999, I became a Canadian citizen. I lived in Vancouver and continued my education at the University of British Columbia (UBC). I graduated after studying ESL and Business Communication.
In 2003, I still was not at ease, because my heart was always drawn to the arts, so I went to the Vancouver Film School to pursue acting for film/TV and graduated.
When I was in Moscow, I was welcomed as a fresh face and appeared on various runways, in commercials and in print advertising. I was with the Red Star Agency and landed modelling gigs with Ford Models.
I got my ultimate acting experience with actor/director Griffin Dunne on his movie Fierce People alongside Anton Yelchin (RIP), Donald Sutherland, Diane Lane, Kristen Steward and Chris Evans.
In 2006, I became an entrepreneur after the birth of my two beautiful sons, who gave me the inspiration to not only be the best mother I could to them but also to live my dream of being in the arts and film industry. I stayed with it and realized that in order to keep up with my long-term goal, I had to do something within the industry I loved the most. I therefore founded Top Talents – Tiny Talent Inc. & UBP in Canada.
In 2016, I opened Tiny Talent World SPRL in Belgium, where I live at the moment with my children, Colin James and Brandon Charles, and my husband, Harry Van den Ameele. We’re having a great adventure!
I have to say that the road has been bumpy, but it was taken slowly and surely, and with lots of faith in myself and in Jesus, and with unwavering focus. I’m now here with my first novel, which I hope you’ll enjoy reading very soon.
